Caregiver Support Group
Caregiving is a profound act of love, dedication, and respect—one deeply rooted in the traditions and values of our ‘ohana. But caring for a loved one can also lead caregivers to overlook their own wellbeing. At the Pacific Cancer Foundation, we believe caregivers deserve support, care, and nurturing just as much as the loved ones they care for.
Our caregiver support group, facilitated by the warm and compassionate Shirley Ramey, LPN, offers caregivers a safe and welcoming environment to share, connect, and find relief from the challenges of caregiving.
Meetings:
When: 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month
Time: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Location: Maui Coffee Attic in Wailuku
Registration is warmly encouraged to help us best support your experience, but walk-ins are always welcome!

Supporting the Caregiver
Our program places special focus on you, the caregiver. Traditionally, caregiving responsibilities are taken on by family members, loved ones, or primary partners—often without enough attention given to their own wellbeing. This can lead to compassion fatigue, emotional burnout, and diminished self-care.
Our Goals For You:
Provide emotional support through shared experiences, open dialogue, and community connection.
Educate about compassion fatigue, burnout signs, and proactive self-care strategies.
Offer practical tools and integrative practices tailored to caregivers’ needs, nurturing your emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual health.
Empower you to create your own individualized care plan, one that’s attainable, realistic, and supports your overall wellbeing.
